Oisin Tymon, the Irish producer who was attacked by Jeremy Clarkson back in March, is now suing Clarkson and the BBC for racial discrimination.

Clarkson lost his job at the BBC earlier this year following the incident, which included physical and verbal attacks on Tymon. They had both worked together on the popular British motoring show Top Gear.

Tymon is reportedly seeking around $150,000 and is being represented by lawyers from Slater & Gordon. His legal team met with lawyers from Clarkson and the BBC in a closed-door hearing on Friday. Tymon reportedly still works for the BBC.

A spokesman for the BBC said: “We will be responding to this claim but will not be commenting further at this time.”

Just two weeks ago, Clarkson appeared in his first commercial for his new TV show on Amazon Prime, which he will host alongside former Top Gear presenters James May and Richard Hammond.
