It didn’t take long for the first caution to fly in Sunday’s Race 2 of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit.
Heading down into the first corner, Carlos Munoz found himself the meat in the sandwich in a three-wide scenario, which edged James Hinchcliffe into the wall.
The ensuring incident involved Takuma Sato, Max Chilton and Marco Andretti.
In an interview with following the crash, James Hinchcliffe didn’t hold back when asked about the incident.
However, once he got a shot of the replay, Hinchcliffe realized that there was more to the incident than what he'd first thought:
Having seen the replay, I apologize to @CarlosMunoz034. Wasn't his fault. He was forced into me. Lost my temper, I know better. Sorry guys.
