Max Verstappen has been given a five-place grid penalty for the Canadian GP for causing a collision with Romain Grosjean during Sunday’s race in Monaco.
The Toro Rosso driver hit the back of the Frenchman's Lotus under braking at Ste Devote at the start of the 63rd lap, and speared hard into the barrier. Grosjean was able to continue, and eventually finished 12th.
In addition to the grid penalty, Verstappen has been given two points on his license.

The incident came after a superb race that saw the Dutchman pull off some cheeky passes after a slow pit stop had ruined his race.
