Sixteen-year-old Max Verstappen, who is confirmed a ride for the Toro Rosso team during the 2015 Formula One season, tore the front wing off his car during his first Formula One demo run last weekend.

The incidents (he hit the wall twice) took place in Rotterdam in a Red Bull RB7 in Toro Rosso livery, according to Crash.net.

Verstappen completed a successful test for the team in August and is not the first to have damaged an F1 car during a demo run. However, the incident has certainly rekindled claims from skeptics who believe that Verstappen is too young to move up into Formula One, despite Red Bull's success with younger drivers in the past.
