DERBY, England -- Donington Park says it will not host the British MotoGP in August because the Circuit of Wales hasn't made its payments.
A statement on Donington Park Racing Ltd's website on Tuesday explained that "CoW being unable to complete the funding arrangements has resulted in delays in almost all of the event's critically important operational plans, from track works to equipment hire," and "this ... could jeopardize the safe and successful running of the 2015 British MotoGP."
Fans who bought tickets for the Aug. 30 race will be given a full refund.
CoW could ask Silverstone, the race venue from 2010-2014, to host it again this year.
