Chase Briscoe has extended his point lead after taking his second consecutive ARCA win Saturday night at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa.

Briscoe dominated the second half of the ABC Supply 150 presented by Casey’s General Store after race leader Kyle Weatherman hit trouble halfway.

Briscoe had got his first win of the season just two weeks ago at the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Winchester Speedway, and started from fifth position in Saturday night’s race.

Kyle Benjamin led the field away for the first of 150 laps at the 7/8-mile oval, and led all the way until lap 42 when Weatherman took the lead from him.

Briscoe caught Weatherman at the halfway point but could not find a way by. However, he was soon gifted the lead as Weatherman’s right-front tire blew, bringing out the first caution of the night.

Briscoe never looked back, despite having gearbox issues which forced him to restart in third gear.

The race ended with a 17-lap shootout after Tom Hessert hit the wall to bring out a late caution, and Briscoe led early-leader Benjamin and 15-year-old Harrison Burton home across the line.
