Car smashes into tires in sudden downpour at 12 Hours of Sebring

The second full course yellow of Saturday’s 12 Hours of Sebring flew in the second hour when a sudden downpour led to pandemonium:

The car seen going into the tire barriers is the No. 11 Change Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 machine, which was being driven by Townsend Bell. Fortunately, Bell was able to walk out of the car OK.

The race was not red flagged as, soon after the yellow was flown, the rain began to ease off. However, multiple other cars had had off-track excursions, although no one else got into the wall.

SportsCar365.com's John Dagys reported that Bell was evaluated and released from the infield care center.
