Tim Bell was able to walk away from a major crash during the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at Circuit of the Americas on Friday.

Bell was racing the No. 28 Nissan when his brakes failed at the end of the long backstraight entering Turn 12.

Bell’s car skated across the gravel trap, which did little to slow his car down, before slamming into a tire barrier that turned his Nissan onto its side. Fortunately, Bell was able to walk out OK.

Tune in to FOX Sports 1 on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. ET for full coverage of the entire Continental Tire race from Austin.
