BMW previews innovations for Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas


BMW has released a preview of innovations that will be presented at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Jan. 7.
The biggest innovation that will be officially announced at CES is a new interface for drivers called BMW I Vision Future Interaction.

This new interface includes a high-resolution, 21-inch panorama touchscren display that can be controlled by AirTouch - a feature that allows the driver to operate the touchscreen without actually touching the surface of the panorama display while also recognizing depth perception.
The concept car also features a reduction of control elements for the driver. Three drive modes are available for selection on the steering wheel - Pure Drive (driving yourself), Assist (assistance systems intervene actively, and Auto Mode (a highly automated operation).
