Andretti, Herta teaming up again for 2017 season

BY foxsports • September 30, 2016

The Indycar ownership tandem of Michael Andretti and Bryan Herta has decided to stay together after a Herta-guided entry with rookie driver Alexander Rossi at the wheel won the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

The teams made the announcement Friday.

Andretti called Herta ''a true asset to our organization'' and said ''We are eager to see what next season has in store.''

Herta is a former driver who has had success since moving into an ownership role with Bryan Herta Autosport. His team also won the 2011 Indianapolis 500 with driver Dan Wheldon. It decided to partner with Andretti Autosport only late last February. Herta says the agreement can only help as the teams look forward to 2017.
