Kenny Miller scored two goals, including the winner, and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the New England Revolution 4-3 on Saturday night.
Camilo, on a penalty kick generated by a Miller scoring opportunity, and Jordan Harvey also scored for the Whitecaps (5-5-4), who are unbeaten in seven home games.
Miller scored in the 68th minute to give Vancouver a 4-2 lead. Running between two defenders, he fielded a long Camilo cross, pulled back and volleyed the ball into the top right corner from about 20 yards out.
Meanwhile, there was no celebration after the game for Earthquakes interim coach Mark Watson. San Jose's players prefer waiting for something a bit bigger.
Sam Cronin scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute and the Earthquakes beat the Colorado Rapids 2-1 on Saturday night to give Watson his first win.
''We'll wait for something bigger, like a playoff win, but there will be one,'' San Jose midfielder Chris Wondolowski said.
Matias Sanchez and Dominic Oduro scored early and Andy Gruenebaum made three saves as the Columbus Crew snapped Montreal's three-match winning streak with 2-0 victory over the Impact on Saturday night.
The Crew (5-5-5), who had two ties and a loss in their previous three games, won for the second time in seven home games.
''They jumped on us. We weren't really sharp the first 15 or 20 minutes,'' Montreal midfielder Justin Mapp said. ''We gave up a couple of goals. On the road you're fighting an uphill battle. We made it hard on ourselves.
''We expected them to have energy and come at us. We weren't prepared. Playing every few days you kind of get in a rhythm. Having a couple of days off, maybe it takes a little bit of time to get back into your rhythm (but) no excuses.''
The win was the Crew's first over a team sitting higher in the standings in 30 matches.
D.C. United defender Daniel Woolard knocked the ball into his own net in the 41st minute, giving Toronto FC its first victory since March 9 with a 2-1 win Saturday night.
Robert Earnshaw scored on a header in the 30th minute after United went ahead 1-0. Then Woolard inadvertently headed the ball into the back of his own net to give Toronto the go-ahead goal.
Toronto (2-7-5) snapped an 11-match winless streak (0-6-5) with its best offensive performance of the season on the road. The club had scored just three times in six previous games away from BMO Field.
Darlington Nagbe scored in the 52nd minute and the Portland Timbers ran their MLS unbeaten streak to 13 games with a 1-0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday.
Portland (6-1-8, 26 points) pulled within two points of Western Division-leading Dallas (8-3-4).
