Timbers sign 3 of their own for 1st MLS season

The Portland Timbers have signed four players, including three from their current roster, to join the team's jump to Major League Soccer next season.

Goalkeeper Steve Cronin, forward Bright Dike, forward Eddie Johnson and midfielder Ryan Pore were introduced as the club's first MLS signings on Tuesday.

The Timbers played in the USSF Division-2 Pro League this season, a step below MLS. Johnson played for the USSF-D2 Austin Aztex this past season.
