Sporting Kansas City has agreed to terms allowing forward Omar Bravo to join Mexico's Cruz Azul, which opens up an international roster spot on the MLS club for next season.

The 31-year-old Bravo will return to the league in which he played for 10 seasons.

Bravo signed with Sporting Kansas City in August 2010 as a designated player, the second of three in club history, and was subsequently loaned back to Club Deportivo Guadalajara. He finally arrived this season and scored twice in his debut at Chivas USA.

Bravo missed six weeks in April and May after undergoing sports hernia surgery. He made 26 starts during the regular season and tied for the team lead with nine goals.
