Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan has transferred from the MLS team to Anderlecht in Belgium.
The club said on its Web site Thursday that he agreed to a four-year contract.
Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck called him "an athletic midfielder with an excellent mentality."
Kljestan had 15 goals and 33 assists in 114 games for Chivas USA over 4 1/2 seasons and was the team's most valuable player in 2008.

Kljestan has made 24 international appearances and was trimmed from the U.S. World Cup roster when it was cut to 23. He played for the U.S. at the 2008 Olympics.
