Landon Donovan, David Beckham and Thierry Henry will lead the MLS roster that will play Manchester United in the league's All-Star game.

New York Red Bulls coach Hans Backe selected the 22 players for the game at Red Bull Arena on July 27. He picked all eight of the players chosen by fans who were available for the game. The picks were announced Monday.

Former USA goalkeeper Kasey Keller and Dallas FC midfielder Brek Shea have CONCACAF Champions League games that week, while Mexico star Rafa Marquez (Red Bulls) and American defender Omar Gonzalez (Galaxy) are injured.

Among the first-time All-Stars will be Mexico's Omar Bravo from Sporting KC, United States defender Heath Pearce of Chivas USA, and Colombian goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon of the Philadelphia Union.

Midfielders Shalrie Joseph of New England, Brad Davis of Houston, and Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake have all been there before

Joseph will be on his eighth All-Star team in his ninth MLS season, all with the Revolution. Davis is on his fourth All-Star team and Beckerman his second, after his first selection last year.

Also joining the MLS All-Stars will be Sporting Kansas City's Matt Besler, who received the most text-message votes.
