Aussie Tommy Watts has notched up his 12th hole-in-one and the nonchalant 92-year-old thinks nothing of it.
Since retiring 42 years ago, every other day at dawn he has served himself up a bowl of cereal and driven himself the few miles (kilometers) to his local green.
It has become a routine as much-loved and familiar to him as his uncanny knack for sending his golf ball hurtling exactly where he wants it.
Sure, it does not always go to plan. But the much-loved member of the Scotchman's Creek Golf Club in suburban Melbourne has earned a reputation for never losing his cool.
"I never lose my temper. It's just another occasion and you take it as it comes," he said.
And so, when he scored again on the par-three 9th last week, he greeted his achievement with a smile and a nod.
Watt, a grandfather of four, said his hole-in-one history began in 1979 and he intended to continue playing golf as long as he was able.
