A back-nine, birdie-filled charge on the last day of a major, vaulting from three down to one up in a span of just five holes. The thousands who returned for Day 5 at the 108th U.S. Open were chanting his name, going hoarse with every echo as they strained to lean over railings and nylon barricades.
