Ryder Cup: Saturday pairings, score updates and TV schedule

Published Sep. 26, 2014 1:30 p.m. ET

Saturday's Ryder Cup pairings have been announced, with U.S. captain Tom Watson and Europe captain Paul McGinley making their choices.

Saturday's first four matches at Gleneagles Resort in Gleneagles, Scotland will be played as fourball (known as better ball), with the second set of matches being contested as foursomes (alternate shot). Two-player teams are chosen by the respective captains for these matches, with each pairing earning one point for winning a match. Teams earn a ½ point for ties after 18 holes. Saturday's format is a repeat of Friday's, though both captains reserved the right to make pairings tweaks -- and in some cases did. Each captain blindly submitted the order in which his pairings/players will play.
