Rickie Fowler will play for the U.S. Olympic golf team in the Summer Games next month in Brazil.
He made the announcement on his Twitter account Sunday:

Fowler's participation is welcome news for the U.S. squad, as many of the world's top golfers continue to opt of the Games because of concerns over the Zika virus. Among the golfers who will not be playing in Rio are U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson (U.S.), world No. 1 Jason Day (Australia) and Rory McIlroy (Ireland).
Bubba Watson also will play for the U.S., but American Jordan Spieth remains undecided
