Alistair Presnell has equaled the Australasian PGA tour record by shooting a 12-under-par 60 to win the Victorian PGA Championship by a stroke.
Presnell almost set a new mark but missed a six-foot birdie on the 17th hole that would have given him a 59 at the Sandhurst course.
Two other men have shot a 60 on the Australasian Tour: Ernie Els at the 2004 Heineken Classic at Royal Melbourne and Paul Gow at the 2001 Canon Challenge at Sydney's Castle Hill.
Presnell's total of 22-under 266 saw him win by a shot from fellow Australians and overnight leaders Kurt Barnes and David Bransdon, who both had final round 67s.
