GOTEMBA, Japan (AP) The wins keep coming for Hideki Matsuyama.

Matsuyama shot a 3-under-par 69 on Sunday to win the Taiheiyo Masters golf tournament, adding to victories at the Japan Open and the HSBC Champions on the U.S. tour last month.

Matsuyama carded seven birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey to rewrite the tournament record for the lowest 72-hole total with a 23-under-par 265 for a seven-shot win over South Korean Song Young-han.

Song closed to within three strokes before the turn but four birdies on the back nine gave Matsuyama a comfortable lead.

Matsuyama was only 19 when he won the Taiheiyo Masters as an amateur five years ago.

With his win at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, Matsuyama became the first Asian to win a World Golf Championship event since the series began in 1999.
