Mark Wahlberg was a few inches away from hitting a hole-in-one last month during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course, spinning a 153-yard shot for what would end up as an easy (and disappointing) birdie.

Wahlberg got his ace Friday morning at Pelican Hill Golf Club, a Tom Fazio-designed course, with a mighty 161-yard nine-iron while using one of Rory McIlroy's balls.
