The LPGA Tour is returning to the Montreal area.
The Canadian Women's Open will move next year to the Hillsdale Golf and Country Club in Mirabel, Quebec. The tournament will be held Aug. 25-28, with an expected purse of $2.25 million.
Golf Canada CEO Scott Simmons said about a dozen clubs were interested in hosting the event, which is the lone LPGA Tour stop in Canada.
It's the first foray into the area since 2002, when Meg Mallon won at Summerlea Golf and Country Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
