As if you needed another reason to love Jack Nicklaus.

The Golden Bear appeared Wednesday on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” with Scott Van Pelt before competing in the Masters’ annual Par 3 Contest. As he signed off, Nicklaus tipped off Van Pelt that he might put on a show.

“Maybe a hole-in-one,” the 75-year-old golf legend suggested.

Van Pelt replied that he’d love to see it, so Nicklaus casually turned to the camera with a sly grin, pointed into it and said: “Absolutely. We’ll try to get one for ya.”

If the greatest golfer of all time says on national television that he’ll hit a hole-in-one, you better believe he’ll fulfill that promise.

Maybe West Virginia basketball freshman Daxter Miles should take a lesson from Nicklaus on calling your shot.
