Glance at the final round of British Open

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) A glance at the final round Monday of the British Open on the Old Course at St. Andrews:
Winner: Zach Johnson, who beat Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen in a playoff. All three finished at 15-under 273.
Grand Slam dashed: Jordan Spieth missed a par putt on No. 17 and couldn't birdie the final hole to miss the playoff. It cost him a shot at his third straight major championship.
Noteworthy: This was Johnson's second major championship. He won the Masters in 2007; Leishman tied a British Open record by scoring 130 over the last 36 holes. It was last done by Anders Forsbrand at Turnberry in 1994.
Quoteworthy: ''I don't know how many guys have done three majors in a year. I'm sure there's only been a few.'' - Jordan Spieth on his attempt at a third major at the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
Next year: The British Open remains in Scotland in 2016, scheduled for July 14-17 at Royal Troon
