British Open champion Clarke to try new caddy

British Open champion Darren Clarke is taking on Phil Morbey as his new caddy on a temporary basis, as he tries to halt a run of poor results since his win at Royal St. George's.
The 43-year-old Northern Irishman has not had one top-10 result since last July's British Open victory, and fired caddy John Mulrooney after the recent Abu Dhabi Championship.
After approaching Englishman Danny Willett, he will ''borrow'' Morbey for a three-week run of events in the United States, starting with next week's World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona.
Morbey has 41 victories to his credit including 24 with Welshman Ian Woosnam. He said ''Darren and I go back a long way so I've known him for ages and I'm looking forward to the three-week spell.''
