Australian Richard Green wins Portuguese Masters

Australian golfer Richard Green used a terrific final round seven-under 65 to win the Portugal Masters at the Oceanic Course at Vilamoura on the Algarve Peninsula, Australia's media reported on Monday.
It was Green's third European Tour title, coming three years after his last victory in 2007 at the Austrian Open, and more than 13 years after his maiden win at the Dubai Desert Classic in his second season in Europe.
According to Australia Associated Press, Green has took full advantage of a late collapse by overnight Spanish leader Pablo Martin, who blew a three-shot lead coming into the final round on Sunday.
Green began the round seven shots behind Martin before scoring birdies on four of the first five holes at the Oceanico Victoria Club.
"Coming from seven behind I knew I had to play the best round of golf I probably could and I had a 64 in mind," Green told Australia Associated Press.
"And when I got to nine-under for the day and 20-under I thought I was in with a chance.
"But then I had a couple of bogeys which I thought left me short. But in the end a 65 was good enough and a win is a win."
Martin, who held a three-shot leading heading into the final round, crumbled to a three-over-par 75 and eventually tailed off to finish three shots behind Green in a tie for sixth place.
Molinari, Robert Karlsson of Sweden (67), Joost Luiten of the Netherlands (69) and Gonzalo Fernandez Castano of Spain (68) were all two shots behind Green.
