Froome bandaged for penultimate stage of Tour de France

MORZINE, France (AP) Overall leader Chris Froome is wearing bandages on his right knee and elbow as the penultimate stage of the Tour de France gets underway Saturday.
Froome crashed on a slippery descent a day earlier but still has a comfortable lead of 4 minutes, 11 seconds over Frenchman Romain Bardet.
Froome says ''Hopefully I can get through today without any problem.''
Stage 20 is a 146.5-kilometer (91-mile) leg from Megeve to Morzine with four climbs, including the beyond-category Col de Joux Plane, which is followed by a long descent to Morzine.
A minute of silence was held at the start of the stage to mourn the nine victims of Friday's shooting in Munich.
The Tour concludes Sunday in Paris with a mostly ceremonial stage and a finish line on the Champs-Elysees.
