Wyoming quarterback Brett Smith and Fresno State receiver Davante Adams are leaving college football early to enter the NFL draft.
Utah tight end Jake Murphy also announced Friday that he is giving up his senior season to try to go pro.
Smith threw for 3,375 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Cowboys this season. The university said in a press release that Smith informed athletic director Tom Burman of his decision Friday.
New Wyoming coach Craig Bohl had visited with Smith last weekend to talk about the future of the program.
''I have so much respect for Coach Bohl and know that we will be very successful at Wyoming,'' Smith said in a statement. ''I appreciate him coming out and meeting with me and my family this past weekend and talking with us about his vision for the future of Cowboy football.
''I thank my teammates, coaches, Wyoming athletics and most of all the fans for three special years. I'll never forget you guys. I'll forever be a Cowboy.''
Adams, a third-year sophomore, will skip his final two seasons of college to enter the draft. He caught 233 passes for 3,031 yards and 38 touchdowns in 26 games at Fresno State over the past two seasons.
He led the nation this season in receptions per game (10.1), total receptions (131) and touchdown catches (24) this season. He was also second in receiving yardage with a school-record 1,718.
''I felt that this was a good time for me to take the next step,'' Adams said. ''I felt that I have done all that I can do and I felt like it was a good move to make going out on a good note because you never know returning and then maybe your stock can be dropped.''
The 6-foot-4, 252-pound Murphy played in eight games for the Utes in 2013, catching 25 passes for 417 yards (16.7 average) and five touchdowns.
''In the end, I had to make the choice that was best for my family - my wife and my daughter,'' the 24-year-old Murphy said.
On Thursday, California cornerback Kameron Jackson and tight end Richard Rodgers entered the NFL draft.
Jackson played 30 games in his career at Cal, finishing with four interceptions and nine passes defensed.
Rodgers caught 59 passes for 896 yards and two touchdowns in 22 games the past two seasons for the Golden Bears. He came to Cal as a tight end but moved to receiver in coach Sonny Dykes' spread offense this season.
