Wisconsin Football: Badgers Ranking Shows Respect

Despite Two Straight Losses, Badgers Earned Respect
After a second devastating loss for Wisconsin Football, the Badgers remain in the top ten in the latest version of this week’s rankings. While many would be disappointed with two losses, the rankings shows that the national picture shows respect to what the Badgers have done so far this season.
In the beginning of the season, a large portion of observers saw Wisconsin Football having one of their worst seasons in recent years, but quickly turned after the opening weekend win against LSU. While the win against Michigan State may not be what it once was, its clear that the Badgers are still respected. Not often do you see a team loss two straight games and remain in the top ten, but the Badgers have clearly proven to be a quality team and their ranking reflects that.

Two seven point losses in back to back games are hard to swallow, but for the Badgers they still sit in a respectable position going forward, as the sit at Number ten in the national rankings. While a College Football Playoff is likely now out of the question without some serious, serious help, the Badgers could still play big games come January. While the Badgers are currently on the outside looking in in terms of making the Big Ten Title game as well, there is still a lot of football to be played.
October 29th will likely decide the Big Ten West, as Wisconsin will take on Nebraska at home. Nebraska does still have Ohio State on the schedule as well so you have to believe that the head to head match up will be the deciding factor. If the Badgers are able to run the table for the rest of the season, a possible rematch with Michigan or Ohio State is likely, with a chance at a Big Ten title still in the wings. The bottom line, there’s still a lot of football to be played, and despite the struggle of late, the Badgers can still make out a successful season if they continue to play at a high level.
