Wis.-Stout routs Eureka

MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Eureka College football team concluded the nonconference portion of its schedule Saturday with a 63-0 loss to Wisconsin-Stout.

Stout (2-1) received the opening kickoff and needed only four plays for Craig Warminski to score on an 8-yard run.

The hosts scored on their five possessions in the first quarter and led 35-0.

Eureka College (0-3) saw Wes Schmidgall make seven catches for 47 yards. Dillon Reed added two receptions for 28 yards including a 24-yarder from Jordan Krone, the Red Devils’ longest play from scrimmage for the game.

Krone and Sam Durley combined to complete 10 passes for 85 yards.

Daniel Vyvyan ran for a game-high 110 yards and was one of five Blue Devils to run for a touchdown. Patrick Mengelkoch made two catches for 64 yards and hauled in Stout’s lone TD pass.

Eureka College opens its Midwest Athletic Conference schedule when it welcomes Minnesota-Morris for homecoming at 1 p.m. Sept. 25.
