Winston accuser's lawyer reacts to QB's latest act: 'Unfortunately, it speaks for itself'

When Florida State announced Wednesday that Jameis Winston will be suspended for the first half of this week's game against Clemson after making lewd comments Tuesday on campus, the reaction from one of the attorneys representing the woman who alleges the quarterback raped her in December 2012 was swift.

“Unfortunately, it speaks for itself,” Baine Kerr told FOX Sports.

Several students tweeted Winston shouted a lascivious comment that may have derived from an internet meme.

The incident could potentially also be a violation of the Florida State University student code of conduct.

School officials have repeatedly declined to discuss code-of-conduct issues involving Winston, citing federal student privacy laws. He is already the subject of an ongoing school investigation into the alleged sexual assault.

The school’s student conduct code defines a number of acts as “sexual misconduct,” including “obscene or indecent behavior, which includes, but is not limited to, exposure of one’s sexual organs or the display of sexual behavior that would reasonably be offensive to others” and “conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for another person. This includes unwanted, unwelcome, inappropriate, or irrelevant sexual or gender-based behaviors, actions or comments.”

Students who are found to be in violation of the FSU code of conduct can face a range of punishment depending on the offense – from something as simple as a letter of discipline all the way to permanent expulsion from the school.
