Max Gabbard's career-long 35-yard field goal with 31 seconds remaining gave Wilmington (Ohio) College a 13-12 victory Saturday over Marietta, snapping the Quakers' 33-game losing streak.

An interception by Joe Joe Knecht in the end zone with 2 seconds left sealed the victory for Wilmington, now 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the Division III Ohio Athletic Conference.

The Quakers hadn't won since defeating John Carroll 24-16 on Oct. 3, 2009.

Marietta dropped to 0-7 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

On the Quakers' winning drive, Brandon Arehart hit Jeremy Duncan on three straight passes of 7, 20 and 7 yards, before a 28-yard pass to Antonio Turner moved Wilmington down to the Marietta 13-yard line.

Three straight incompletions set up Gabbard's kick.
