SEATTLE (AP) Washington has signed junior college quarterback Tony Rodriguez to a financial aid agreement, giving the Huskies additional depth at the position going into the 2015 season.

Washington announced Rodriguez's signing on Tuesday.

Rodriguez was the offensive player of the year on the Region I all-California junior college team last fall playing for City College of San Francisco. Rodriguez passed for 2,382 yards, 18 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also ran for three TDs.

Rodriguez played his high school ball at Brookside Christian in Stockton, California, but missed most of his senior season because of injury.

Because the timeframe for a player to sign a national letter of intent has expired, Rodriguez signed a financial aid agreement with Washington instead. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
