Wake Forest’s Kevin Johnson wasn’t the only member of the Demon Deacons secondary to make it into the NFL. Days after Johnson was selected by the Houston Texans with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, teammate and fellow corner Merill Noel signed a free agent deal with the Buffalo Bills.
Noel, who was named a third-team all-ACC performer in 2014, started all 12 games for the Deacons last season and was named a captain. The former freshman all-American also picked off three passes in 2014.
Congrats to Bud Noel on signing with the @buffalobills! Another Demon Deacon in the League! #GoDeacs #DBU pic.twitter.com/pv59gbzl2a
