Wagner shuts out DII Alderson-Broaddus 26-0

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (AP) Matthias McKinnon ran for 93 yards and a touchdown on Saturday night and Wagner won its home opener 26-0 over Division II Alderson-Broaddus.
Brandon Peoples added 87 yards on 21 carries and the Seahawks (2-3) had 294 yards rushing in the second night game to ever be played at Hamelin Field.
Najee Harris, Jarrett Dieudonne, and DeAngelo James each had interceptions to lead the Wagner defense which held the Battlers (3-2) to 185 yards of total offense.
Dieudonne capped the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown return on his interception midway through the fourth quarter.
Bryan Maley extended Wagner's lead to 12-0 in the third quarter with his second field goal, and Chris Andrews added a 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth.
Cooper Schroeder had six catches for 81 yards to lead the way for Alderson-Broaddus.
