Tennessee will have a new look for its game Saturday with No. 6 Georgia.
Volunteers coach Butch Jones said Sunday night in an interview on ''The Nation,'' a Knoxville-based radio show, that the team would wear its ''Smokey gray'' uniforms for the Georgia game. The university confirmed it immediately afterward on its football team's official Twitter account.
When Tennessee unveiled this alternate uniform in its preseason Media Day event, Jones said the Vols would wear it one home game this year without specifying a particular date. The uniform features jerseys and pants in a color it calls Smokey gray, a nod to the team's mascot. Jones noted before the season that Tennessee's 1914 team wore gray jerseys and went undefeated.
