Virginia Tech RB J.C. Coleman picks up where he left off

Virginia Tech's J.C. Coleman finished the 2014 season as the team's featured running back.
Now, he's driven to retain that title.
So far this spring, Coleman has maintained his position atop the Hokies' depth chart at running back. Recently, the rising senior received some praise from Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler (via Andy Bitter, The Roanoke Times):
"He’s done a great job," Loeffler told Bitter about Coleman. "He’s a steady Eddie guy. He’s reliable. He just keeps doing his job. He’s a Virginia Tech guy. Just like I said, my feelings about him are just off the charts, just because he walked into a really tough situation and ended up being a huge reason why we won the Virginia game and the bowl game. My hat’s off to him."
Coleman gained just 65 yards through the first nine games of the 2014 season. He finished the year on a tear, though, racking up 468 yards on 81 carries (5.8 yards/carry) in the last four games.
