Villanova 23-point rally tops Delaware 35-34

John Robertson led the rally on Saturday as Villanova scored 23 unanswered points over eight minutes capped by Mark Hamilton's game-winning 24-yard field goal with a second to play in a 35-34 victory over Delaware at PPL Park.
With the comeback win, Villanova takes the Blue Trophy and ends Delaware's post-season hopes.
Robertson was 19 of 28 for 252 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran 31 times for 165 yards and a touchdown. Villanova (6-5, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association) dominated Delaware for 335 yards rushing, 34 first downs and 626 yards of total offense.
The Wildcats trailed 34-12 in the fourth quarter when Robertson found Joe Price for back-to-back touchdowns and Gary Underwood for a third. Villanova recovered Hamilton's onside kick with 1:45 left.
Trent Hurley was 19 of 26 for 231 yards for Delaware (7-5, 4-4). Michael Johnson finished with eight receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
