Does Las Vegas think the Oklahoma Sooners have a fighting chance in 2015?

Put it this way, of the seven games that figure to be OU's toughest, it is favored in just four. It's no surprise to learn that The Golden Nugget sportsbook, which released betting lines on Friday, has the Sooners as underdogs to TCU (-5) even though the game is in Norman, and as double-digit dogs against Baylor (-13) in OU's first trip to the Bears' McLane Stadium.

However, ranking as somewhat surprising is OU's status as a three-point underdog for its Sept. 12 non-conference road game at Tennessee. A year ago, with OU coming off the big Sugar Bowl victory against Alabama, the Sooners opened as three-touchdown favorites over Tennessee, and went on to win easily, 34-10.

While the Vols do appear to be an improving football team, and OU still has yet to figure out who will start at quarterback, it didn't figure to be enough to make Tennessee early favorites for the Sept. 12 game at Knoxville.

In the four games that the Sooners are favored, a 10-point spread against West Virginia is the largest. OU is also favored in the Red River Showdown over Texas (-6.5), Kansas State (-3) and in the Bedlam game over Oklahoma State (-3).
