The University of Virginia says three football players are charged with assaulting three men in an apartment, which is what led to their indefinite suspensions.

Starting cornerback Devin Wallace, starting linebacker Ausar Walcott and backup center Mike Price each is charged with three felony counts of assault and other misdemeanors.

A spokesman for the school confirmed the suspensions and said Cavaliers coach Mike London would make no further statement about the case on Wednesday.

Harrisonburg police say the players assaulted the men early Jan. 30 and that two required hospital treatment. Harrisonburg is about 35 miles northwest of the Virginia campus in Charlottesville.
