UTEP rushes for 327 yards in victory over FIU

Nathan Jeffery rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns to lead UTEP to a 33-10 victory over Florida International on Saturday.

Jeffery had a 1-yard TD with 38 seconds left in the first half and capped the scoring with a 54-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The Miners (2-8, 1-5 Conference USA) had a season-high 327 yards rushing and snapped a seven-game losing streak. Blaire Sullivan had eight carries for 104 yards, including a 56-yard scamper.

Running back Lamarq Caldwell threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Lowder in the second quarter for FIU (1-9, 1-5). Caldwell also had 95 yards on 20 carries.

UTEP recorded a safety and Mack Leftwich tossed a 64-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Leslie to help the Miners open a 26-7 lead in the third quarter.
