UCF shuts out South Florida 16-0, their first blank in 22 games

TAMPA, Fla. -- Justin Holman threw for one touchdown and Rannell Hall picked up another on the ground to lead UCF in a 16-0 shutout over South Florida on Friday.
Holman was 20-of-29 passing and finished with 150 yards. Hall had 10 carries for 65 yards for the Knights (8-3, 6-1 American).
Holman threw a 7-yard TD pass to Breshad Perriman, capping a 17-play, 80-yard drive with 10:38 left in the second quarter. The Knights then forced South Florida to go three-and-out, and Hall ended the next drive with a 21-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0 with just over six minutes to play before the break.
UCF finished with 295 total yards, compared to 200 for South Florida.
Mike White was 11 for 25 on 107-yards passing for the Bulls (4-8, 3-5).
The shutout was the first for the Knights in 22 games, the last against FIU on September 6, 2013.
