Towson 40, Maine 30

Terrance West ran for three touchdowns and Towson overpowered Maine 40-30 on Saturday.
West had 183 yards on 21 carries, and Tremayne Dameron added 109 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries for the Tigers (7-2, 5-1 Colonial Athletic Association). Towson, which leads the CAA with 226.5 rushing yards per game, finished with 334 against the Black Bears.
Towson outgained Maine 418-341, and scored touchdowns on all five of its trips into the red zone.
Warren Smith scored three touchdowns for Maine (7-2, 5-1), which lost for the first time in six tries against the Tigers.
Smith, who is second in the CAA with 271.2 yards of total offense, had 283 against the Tigers. Smith was 26 of 41 for 256 yards with two interceptions, two touchdowns and added 27 more yards and another score on eight carries.
