In speaking with John Canzano on 750 The Game radio Thomas Tyner's father, John Tyner, set the record straight on his son's surgery and his commitment to the Oregon Ducks.
"There is no story. He's a Duck. He's going to be back with the Ducks. He likes the Ducks. He likes his coaches. He wanted to play. I was the bad guy, being his Dad I forced him to have the surgery, the shoulder was damaged. It wasn't a labrum tear. It was a bone chip and he risked further injury." said John Tyner.
There was a bit of confusion as to Thomas Tyner's future with the Ducks as he was left off Oregon's 103-man roster at the start of fall camp. However, as his father indicates, Tyner will be back with the Ducks once he's healed from his surgery.
