Tyrik Rollison and Texas A&M Commerce one-upped Kenny Hill and Texas A&M for opening-week efforts.

Rollikson, a one-time Auburn signee, completed 26-of-33 passes for 562 yards and six touchdowns as Texas A&M Commerce pulverized East Texas Baptist, 98-20, Thursday night.

Rollison's night topped the debut by the Aggies' Hill, who lit up South Carolina for 511 yards and three touchdowns on 44-of-60 passing a week earlier.

Rollison's effort was part of an overall record-setting night for the Lions, who piled up 986 yards of total offense.

A&M Commerce also set Lone Star Conference marks for points scored, tied the touchdown record with 13, broke the record for the most point after attempts with 13 and tied the record with 11 PATs made.

Three players turned in 100-yard performances on the ground — Joe Bergeron with 137 yards and two TDs, Richard Cooper with 118 yards and two TDs, and Theo Wofford with 103 yards and two TDs on only nine carries.

"I have to give all the credit to my teammates on the edge catching passes and the offensive line for giving us time to work," Rollison said.

Rollison broke the school record for passing yards and total offensive yards, tied the record for TD passes and broke the record for yards per attempt with 17 yards per pass attempt.
