Tennessee Tech 38, SE Missouri 31

A career night by quarterback Tre Lamb and an all-purpose performance by running back Dontey Gay enabled Tennessee Tech to outlast Southeast Missouri 38-31 in an Ohio Valley Conference shootout Saturday night.
Lamb completed 27 of 37 passes for a career-high 283 yards and a touchdown. Gay's 247 all-purpose yards included 146 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 22 carries. He also caught seven passes for 101 yards. His 4-yard scoring run with 2:38 left to play gave the Tennessee Tech (3-1, 2-0) the win and its best start since 2007.
Levi Terrell ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns for Southeast Missouri (0-3, 0-1) and nearly enabled the Redhawks to pull an upset. But in the third quarter, it was a Tennessee Tech goal-line stand that denied Terrell and Southeast Missouri. Three times, the Golden Eagles stopped the Redhawks at the 1 yard line.
