Tennessee State routs Central State 73-6

Michael German was 8 of 8 for 159 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tennessee State's 73-6 rout over Central State on Saturday.
German was subbed out for most of the second half after Tennessee State (4-1) raced ahead, leading 28-0 at the end of the first quarter and 43-6 by the end of the half.
Tennessee State gained 539 yards on 54 plays, scoring 10 touchdowns and needing to punt only once in the game.
Tim Broughton ran 13 times for 108 yards and Darion Hall added 94 yards on five carries. Both Hall and Chris Sanders-McCollum scored their first career touchdowns in the second half.
Central State (0-4) scored its only touchdown on a 1-yard run by Michael Wilson early in the second quarter but failed on its 2-point conversion.
The Tigers and Marauders played for the first time since 1990. Tennessee State now leads the series 26-5.
