TCU's Patterson impressed with QB Hill

Nothing like having a starting quarterback running your scout team.
At TCU, the Horned Frogs have not only a Heisman Trophy candidate at quarterback in Trevone Boykin, but they also have an accomplished ex-SEC who won't see the field but will run the practice team.
Kenny Hill, who threw for a school-record 511 yards last season in the season opener for Texas A&M and led the Aggies to a 5-0 start, is now at TCU. Hill was benched last season after the quick start and then was suspended for violation of team rules.
"Getting that kind of quarterback throwing against your defense, being able to run, having a guy that can run the read option, you're going to find one that's more athletic when you do those kind of things," TCU coach Gary Patterson said to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram.
Boykin is coming off a great season for the Horned Frogs, leading them to a 12-1 record, but Boykin told the Star-Telegram he's been impressed by Hill, too.
"He's doing good, learning the offense," Boykin said. "He's level-headed. People make mistakes. You learn from them, you move on. I feel like he's one of those guys who's learned from hims mistakes and he's gotten better from it."
