TCU's 2016 schedule features non-conference matchup against SEC foe

The Big 12 released its 2016 conference schedule Tuesday, allowing teams to finalize their schedules.

The TCU Horned Frogs potentially face a more difficult start to the season with the two-year run against Minnesota ending and SEC West opponent Arkansas on the schedule on Sept. 10 in Fort Worth.

TCU's other two non-conference games include a home game against South Dakota State to open the season on Sept. 3 and then at SMU on Sept. 24. TCU will actually open Big 12 play the previous week on Sept. 17 at home against Iowa State.

The Horned Frogs will play at Texas on Thanksgiving night. TCU won the 2014 Turkey Day game, 48-10.
